INSTRUCTOR: Rebecca Glazier
Rebecca has been knitting since she was 7 years old and has always had a love for textiles and colour. Teaching people how to knit and crochet expresses one of her greatest joys; sharing her creativity and passion with people. Originally from the UK, she has called Vancouver her home for the last 5 years.
I just finished this class with Rebecca and thoroughly enjoyed it! As other reviewers stated, she is a wonderful teacher. Patient & willing to go over steps as needed by participants, able to manage a group well with people at different stages in the project without losing anyone or stalling anyone. Her enthusiasm for knitting is contagious & she really inspires us to be creative & not sweat the small inevitable mistakes. I love how my wrist warmers turned out!
My friend and I had a lovely time learning how to knit this summer by taking Rebecca’s beginner knitting class via zoom! Rebecca is a wonderful teacher. She is patient, thorough, and super supportive of helping her students get past any challenges that may arise. It was nice to knit, learn basic techniques, chat, and have someone there with so much knowledge to share when we had questions. She is just a lovely person who is very passionate about her craft and she passes this enthusiasm onto her students. Thanks for such a wonderful Tuesday evening during this crazy time!
I took my first knitting class with Rebecca back in May and I have been knitting since!
It gave me the confidence to figure out the basics and the support to explore some patterns on my own, first by using some knitting kits, then finding patterns on Ravelry and building my own kits for the projects I love - if you're curious how much progress I've made in just a few months, you can take a look at my projects https://www.ravelry.com/projects/trueskawka
Rebecca is a cheerful and supportive teacher, explaining the concepts clearly, finding ways to adjust it to any learner, by showing it in class, finding videos, recommending tutorials, and just being there to answer any questions. Even though it's a beginner class, it was still accessible and worked well on Zoom.
I don't think I would've made progress this quickly without being shown the ropes and I couldn't find a better teacher :)
