THIS IS AN ONLINE CLASS via ZOOM, so you will also need to have a decent internet connection and download the free ZOOM app. Instructions will be emailed before 1st class.

In this project based class you will be introduced to the amazing texture, colour and reversibility of the Brioche stitch.

Over four weeks you will work together on the Briochevron Drawstring Tube by Stephen West to create a two colour, squishy, convertible cowl which can be worn cinched into a slouchy or brimmed hat.

Other skills that will be covered in this class are the I-cord bind off, picking up stitches and seaming.

Suitable for: Advanced Beginner.

Skills Needed: Knit, purl, cast on and bind off.

Materials Included: Briochevron Drawstring Tube pattern by Stephen West emailed to you before the start of class.

Materials Needed:

• Yarn Recommendation:
  • One Main Colour such Cascade Heritage Sock (or any 210 yards of fingering weight)
  • One Contrast Colour such as Smith and Ewe Not Just Socks Mini Skein (or any 190 yards of fingering weight.)
  • Please also have 2 contrasting colours of some scrap fingering yarn available for practicing.
• One set of 3.5mm/ US4 80cm/32" to 100cm/40" circular needles
• One set of 4mm/US6 DPN 's or circular needles.
• Darning needle
• Measuring tape
• Stitch Marker

Teaching people how to knit and crochet expresses one of her greatest joys; sharing her creativity and passion with people.
