Double knitting is so much fun! And maybe not as spicy as you think! In this class you'll learn the modern style of double knitting - working with two colours across the row at the same time and mirror reversed patterns. Once you have this skill you'll be able to go on to design your own double knit patterns!

Skills Required: Knit, purl, cast on and bind off. Experience in two handed colourwork knitting is helpful - if you haven't tried this yet Rebecca suggests you practice knitting and purling with yarn coming from your non-dominant hand before the class.

Materials Needed:

  • 20g / 43 yards (40 m) each of DK or Worsted weight yarn in TWO colours.  Smooth yarn is preferred such as Estelle SW Merino DK or Sugar Bush Bold
  • Needles in size suitable for yarn weight.

Materials can be purchased at Baaad Anna’s Yarn Store(Current Canada Post shipping turnaround is min one week, please be sure to order supplies with enough time for them to arrive before the start of class; OR call (604) 255 2577 for more immediate curb-side pickup.
