The average staple length of these single-sheep fibres is about 4". This is hand washed and carded with loads of care
The Icelandic lamb batt is from a 3-sheep mix - white, brown and black. These lambs' fleeces are from Forest Edge Farms on Texada Island, hand washed and carded by Melly Knits. These lambs were sheared between 5-6 months old, so this is much softer than typical Icelandic lamb's wool but also has more texture. These were carded 3 times on the Pat Green Supercard so they are quite smooth, but there is vm and some texture in these batts.
