The second of Holli's two zipper workshops.  While these two classes can stand on their own, together they will revolutionize the knitter’s approach to zippers.

Learn a few ways to insert a zipper into your hand knits without any stretching or warping. They all begin with a latch hook tool (supplied in class along with a zipper). This class is a game changer. There’s no longer any reason to be afraid of patterns with zipped closures.

Suitable for Intermediate.

Skills Needed: Knit, purl, pick up stitches and bind off.

Materials Included: Mini Latch Tool and Zipper

Materials Needles:

• Two homework swatches, instructions provided with registration.
• Worsted weight yarn in a light to medium colour
• Remnant of a lighter weight yarn (fingering/sock, sport or DK) should be plied and have a tight twist.
• Needles required to get a gauge of 5 sts/inch with your yarn (you will need to make a swatch or two!)
• Assortment of DPN's or Circular needles in size range from 2-3 sizes smaller to 2-3 sizes larger than project needles.
• Crochet hook approx 3-3.5mm(US D-3 / E-4)(exact size isn’t important)
• Straight pins
• Sharp sewing needle
• Thread
• Thimble (optional)
• Fine tip marker (Sharpie), fabric pen or tailor's pencil.
• Basic knitter's tool kit.

To this end, she teaches skills that enable knitters to feel justified pride in their finished objects, while accommodating different knitting styles and preferences. Students leave her workshops with an arsenal of valuable techniques, deep understanding of the choices to be made in knitting, and new confidence.
