Locally sourced yarn from a local fibre mill in the North Okanagan region of BC.
Shelterwood Fibre Company is a small, family-run fibre mill located in the North Okanagan region of beautiful British Columbia.
Their mission is to create high-quality, regionally and responsibly sourced natural fibre products. In sourcing from and providing service to local fibre producers, they aim to add value to the local fibre production economy.
This rustic farm yarn is a blend of "Lambie" (Shropshire x rambouillet) and "Hilda" (Shetland), with 20% local alpaca.
This fibre combination ensures a sturdy 2-ply yarn suitable for projects requiring durability with ample loft for warmth. The cozy oatmeal colour is from the natural shades of the fleeces used.
